HOLMDEL, NJ - Local authorities in Holmdel are attempting to locate a dog that bit a woman several times on Thursday.

According to a Facebook post from = the Holmdel Township Police Department, at approximately 12:38 p.m. on June 10, a woman walking on Woodhollow Drive in the township was bitten repeatedly by a black and brown “possible German Shepard.”

“This is a good opportunity to remind all to be alert and mindful of all unattended animals and wildlife,” the police department wrote.

On June 11, Holmdel police issued the following update:

"The dog involved in yesterday's incident was located, and the Holmdel Police would like to thank everyone for their assistance in locating the animal."
