Holmdel Police Announce April Statistics For Road Monitoring Project
Holmdel Police have released the number of motor vehicle stops made as a result of the new high visibility enforcement deployments.

HOLMDEL, NJ — As part of their new high-visibility enforcement deployments, the Holmdel Township Police Department has released the total number of motor vehicle stops, summonses and warnings issued during the week of April 25.
The Holmdel Police Department hopes to raise awareness and reduce collisions caused by speeding and distracted driving. It should be noted that these efforts are carried out during the officer's regular shifts and are not supplemented by any traffic enforcement grant funding.
During the week of April 25, police officers patrolled ten different roads in the township.

"As part of educating the community, warning campaigns are typically used first in lieu of summonses. Officers still have discretion to issue summonses depending on the severity of the offense," police said.
Motorists are urged to be aware of the increased enforcement activity and to drive cautiously.
