Holmdel Police To Increase Drunk Driving Patrols This Summer
Expect additional enforcement on the roads with zero tolerance for impaired drivers, according to Holmdel police.
HOLMDEL, NJ - Don’t be surprised if you see an increased police presence throughout the Bayshore area this summer. As part of a drunken driving crackdown, Holmdel police have joined forces with neighboring police departments to strictly enforce DWI laws.
According to a statement from the Holmdel Township Police Department, all Bayshore police departments will increase patrols on the road to enforce a zero-tolerance policy for those who drive impaired during the next few months.
“Summertime brings along an increase in events and gatherings with friends and families. It’s a time when people like to barbecue, spend time outdoors, attend concerts, carnivals, and more,” Holmdel police said in a statement. “Oftentimes, alcohol is available at many of these events, so before you head out for a fun-filled day or night, make sure you plan for a sober way home. It’s simple, the choice to do so will save lives.”
