Holmdel Schools Name Staffers Of The Year

Holmdel High and William R. (W.R.) Satz school staff, selected students and administrators came together at a recent Board of Education meeting for an awards presentation.

At W.R. Satz, the Teacher of the Year is Lisa Imbro and the Educational Professional of the Year is James Bruce, a guidance counselor. For Holmdel High School, the Teacher of the Year is Sheryl McBride and the educational professional of the year is Joseph Clores, a school counselor.

Students from Holmdel High and W.R. Satz also received awards for achievements in education competitions. Subjects included science, math, music, and the Academic Bowl. W.R. Satz competed against 100 teams from New Jersey in the bowl, and two of its teams placed in the competition: 4th place for 7th grade and 3rd place for 8th grade.

Holmdel High’s Assistant Principal Michele England and Statz’s Principal Arthur Howard presented awards and congratulations to the students, teachers and guidance counselors.

England, Howard and Holmdel Superintendent Barbara Duncan also presented awards to parents who go above and beyond to help improve the schools.
