Holmdel Senior Soccer Player Receives Scholarship

This standout on the girls' varsity soccer team was given a $500 NJSIAA scholarship.

Holmdel, NJ - Holmdel High School senior Hannah Lee was given a $500 Shore Conference college scholarship as part of the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA).

Lee, a forward, helped lead the Hornets to their second straight NJSIAA Central Group II title this past fall. She was named Holmdel NJSIAA scholar-athlete of the year in 2016. Lee also played basketball for Holmdel.

She is one of 217 high school student-athletes across the state honored for their achievements, receiving a total of $172,000 in college scholarships.

Each NJSIAA member high school (Holmdel is a member) has the opportunity to select one senior student as their scholar-athlete of the year. Those students then attend the scholar-athlete luncheon where, through a random drawing, they had the chance to win a college scholarship from one of multiple sponsors.
