Holmdel State Trooper Pulls Man From Burning Car: Watch
A state trooper from the Holmdel barracks rescued an unconscious man from a burning car, and the rescue was captured on his dash cam.

HOLMDEL, NJ — A state trooper from the Holmdel barracks rescued an unconscious man from a burning car last month, and part of the rescue was captured on the trooper's dashboard camera in his patrol car.
The incident happened Sunday, May 27 at 10:30 in the morning, in the pouring rain on the Garden State Parkway south. The man in the car had suffered a sudden medical episode, passed out and drove his car off the roadway in the express lanes near milepost 105 in Tinton Falls Boro.
When Trooper Scott Behnke of Holmdel station arrived, the man was unconscious and trapped in the smoking car. Other people had pulled over and they shouted at the officer that the car was on fire.

With help from passing motorists, Tpr. Behnke was able to pull the man out through the passenger side window. You can watch the video below of the man being pulled to safety in the pouring rain.
The man regained consciousness and Tpr. Behnke was able to render first aid until EMS arrived. The victim was transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center and later released.

State Police did not say what exactly his medical condition was that caused him to initially pass out.
