Holmdel Teen Wins Pivotal Wrestling Match

Holmdel, NJ - Victor Wladika, a wrestler for the Holmdel Youth Athletic Association, beat the A Division Jersey Shore champion in a nail-biter match last week that ended with a pin in the annual Jersey Shore Junior Wrestling League “Civil War.”

Vic, 14, is seen here wrestling John O’Donnell from the Toms River A Division team. This was a big victory for Wladika and Holmdel because the Holmdel team is in the B Division.

In fact, Vic’s win qualified him to wrestle Tuesday night at Middletown North High School against all-star teams from across the state. The Tournament of Champions is a tournament of four All-Star teams from across the state. It starts at 7 p.m. Go Vic!

Vic is a second-year wrestler.
