HAZLET, NJ — Update: Hazlet police released more information on this incident: Hazlet Police K9 Bites Officer In Search For Suspect In Dark

Hazlet police say a home was broken into in the development behind the old Kmart Wednesday. The suspect was last seen on Brooklawn Drive. They did not release much more information at this time.

Hazlet police said as of late Wednesday afternoon, March 20, they were looking for a black male subject wearing dark-colored clothing who fled on foot from a residential burglary in the development behind the old Kmart.

The man was last seen in the area of Brooklawn Drive. Hazlet police did not release any further details on the incident.

"Due to the ongoing investigation we cannot release any further information at this time," said Deputy Chief Ted Wittke when asked by Patch for more details.
