Homeowners Escape Holmdel House Fire; Firefighter Sent To Hospital

Holmdel authorities are investigating a fire at about 9:40 p.m. Wednesday that engulfed a Barbera Drive house.

HOLMDEL, NJ — Fire authorities are investigating a fire that engulfed a Barbera Drive home Wednesday night.

The homeowners safely evacuated their house, police said. When local first responders were called to the scene at 9:40 p.m., the house was engulfed in flames, according to a police report this morning.

Holmdel police, fire and emergency medical staff responded to the call. A firefighter was transported to the hospital for an evaluation after working at the scene.
