House Broken Into On Field Point Drive In Holmdel: Police

A beige BMW in the area is considered suspicious; police ask the public for video or other information about the Saturday night incident.

HOLMDEL, NJ — Police are investigating a house break-in on Saturday evening.

At about 8:30 p.m. Saturday, a resident of a Field Point Drive house came home to find the house was entered by an unknown person or persons, a police report said.

The house was entered through an open second-floor window in the back of the house, police said. There were no other details available about the break-in.

A suspicious vehicle - a beige BMW SUV - was seen around Field Point Drive about 7 p.m., police learned. But they said it's not known if this vehicle was involved in the incident. The SUV had one working headlight.

Meanwhile, the township has ordered stationary license plate readers that are going to be placed in different spots in the township as a way to get immediate data about vehicles that may have been used in crimes. The readers provide another way to address thefts and car thefts, among other crimes, the township said.
