Keansburg Man In DWI Accident In Holmdel
He was arrested last Friday after he crashed on Middletown Road. Police say he was under the influence of narcotics when he crashed.

HOLMDEL, NJ — A Keansburg man was arrested in Holmdel last Friday after he crashed on Middletown Road. Police say he was under the influence of drugs when he crashed.
The accident happened at 12:29 a.m. on the morning of Friday, Feb. 16. Police were called to Middletown Road and when they got there, they found the car had driven off the road and struck a utility pole. The driver, Shawn P. Gallagher of Keansburg, was not injured. However, police say he displayed signs of impairment at the scene and was suspected of driving while intoxicated. Gallagher, 57, lives on Wood Street in Keansburg.
Gallagher failed the field sobriety tests he was given and he was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. Further investigation revealed that Gallagher was under the influence of narcotics.

He was processed and charged with DWI, reckless driving and failure to maintain his lane, he was processed and released pending court appearance. Gallagher's vehicle was also impounded from the scene of the accident.
