Keansburg Teen Charged With Stealing Cousins Identity During Holmdel Arrest

The teen gave the cousins name after being caught shoplifting from a Kohl's, Holmdel police said.

HOLMDEL, NJ— A Keansburg teenager was charged with giving police officers his cousins identifying information during a shoplifting arrest in Holmdel, according to police.

Noel Cacho, 19, gave Holmdel police officers his cousin's name, date of birth and social security information during his Nov. 14 arrest for shoplifting in a Kohl's, police said. He was charged with giving false information with the purpose to implicate another person.

Cacho was also charged with attempting to flee from police on foot during the course of the arrest. Both charges are fourth degree crimes.

He is currently being held on $5,000 bail.
