MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — The weekend is almost here.

As April continues and we get closer to the summer season, there are plenty of fun events planned around Monmouth County this weekend.

Jersey Shore Restaurant Week

• Dates: Friday through April 19
• Locations: Along the Jersey Shore
• Details: Enjoy three-course meals at participating restaurants along the shore for Jersey Shore Restaurant Week.

Company: The Musical

• Dates: Friday + dates throughout April
• Location: Brookdale Performing Arts Center (765 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft)
• Details: Step into an immersive, in-the-round production of Stephen Sondheim’s musical “Company.” Tickets required.

Kite Festival

• Date: Saturday
• Location: Pier Village (50 Chelsea Avenue, Long Branch)
• Details: Experience a day of color, creativity and coastal fun as Pier Village hosts its annual Kite Festival, where families, visitors and kite enthusiasts gather along the shore to fly kites of all shapes and sizes.

Pokémon Market

• Date: Sunday
• Location: Bell Works (101 Crawfords Corner Road, Holmdel)
• Details: Shop from 320+ tables of Pokémon TCG, art, plushies, collectibles and more from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Sunday Showcase

• Date: Sunday
• Location: The Stone Pony (913 Ocean Avenue, Asbury Park)
• Details: Enjoy a showcase of some of New Jersey’s hottest bands at the Stone Pony from 1:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. $15 advance and $20 at the door. All ages event.
