Large Item Drop-Off At Bell Works Parking Lot In Holmdel

The drop-off is available for residents only. Commercial businesses are prohibited, township officials said.

HOLMDEL, NJ — Holmdel Township is hosting the first large item drop-off event of the year on Saturday.

The event allows residents to dispose of large items at no charge at the Bell Works parking lot on Saturday, April 9 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. All participants should enter the parking lot via American Way and Middletown Road.

Accepted items include mattresses, furniture, grills without the gas tank, windows, doors, dryers, carpets, bikes, cables and other bulky items that don’t fit in a trash can. To check the full list visit the Holmdel Township website.

No air conditioners, ammunition, herbicides, leaves, pesticides, pool chemicals or household hazardous materials will be accepted.

The event is open to Holmdel residents only commercial businesses are prohibited. All residents are required to unload all items brought to the drop-off location. The township does not provide an employee to help residents unload items from their vehicles.

Residents may bring acceptable items to the site in vehicles no larger than a pickup truck or van. Commercial sized U-Haul / hertz/box trucks or medium to large duty dump trucks, regardless of load, are not permitted at the site.

At the gate, all residents must show proof of residency.
