Lifesaving Action By Hazlet Sergeant Is Honored
Sgt. Richard Jaeger of Hazlet has been recognized by the 200 Club of Monmouth County for his resuscitation of an infant last year.

HAZLET, NJ —Sgt. Richard Jaeger was presented with a certificate of recognition Wednesday from the 200 Club of Monmouth County for lifesaving actions in an incident last year.
The 200 club President Ben Lucarelli and Trustee Josh Elkes presented the certificate.
On July 23, 2021, Jaeger responded to a call for a three-month-old baby who was unconscious and not breathing. Jaeger provided "high quality CPR and was able to resuscitate the infant, who is doing well today," the township Police Department said in a Facebook post..

"We are very proud of his efforts and congratulate him on this recognition," the post said.
The 200 Club of Monmouth County is a nonprofit dedicated to first responders who risk their lives to protect and save others. Among the first responders we assist are police officers, firefighters, emergency personnel, and first aid of Monmouth County, the club's website says.
