Looking For A Family-Friendly Event This Weekend? Try Rutgers Day

Saturday is Rutgers Day, where hundreds of family-friendly displays and activities will be set up.

Parking and admission is free. Campus shuttles will be provided during the event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Rutgers Day and Alumni Parade will be held at 11 a.m. on College Avenue. The Master Gardener Sale will be held all day on the Douglass campus.

• The Rutgers Science Explorer bus will have interactive exhibits and laboratory exercises
• Stuffed animal check-ups will be done by Rutgers medical school students
• At the Sweet Stop, kids can decorate their own cupcakes
• Learning sailing basics at Sailing 101
• The 44th Annual Animal Show and the State 4-H Dog Show will both be held at the farm area of the Cook/Douglass campus
