Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting 13-Year-Old At Wall Motel
Michael Torenheim, 33, was charged with sexual assault, luring and endangering the welfare of a child, the MCPO said.
WALL, NJ - A New York man was charged with luring and sexually assaulting a 13-year-old at a motel in Wall Township last year, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
Michael Torenheim, 33, of Brooklyn, was charged with second degree sexual assault, second degree luring and third degree endangering the welfare of a child, the office said in a news release.
A subsequent investigation found that Torenheim met the child in Lakewood and drove him to a motel in Wall in November 2020. Torenheim was arrested in Spring Valley, New York, by members of the U.S. Marshals Service, New Jersey State Police and Wall Township Police Department in December. He is being held at the Monmouth County Correctional Facility.

If convicted of the second degree charges, Torenheim faces a sentence of five to 10 years in state prison. If convicted of third degree charge, he may serve up to five years in state prison.
