Marlboro PD Seeks Part-Time Special Law Enforcement Officer

The Marlboro Township Police Department is accepting applications for a part-time Special Law Enforcement Officer. Here's how to apply:

MARLBORO, NJ - The Marlboro Township Police Department is currently accepting applications for a part-time Special Law Enforcement Officer.

Applicants must possess a current and valid NJ Police Training Commission certificate for SLEO Class II and must have no binding obligations to another police department, including but not limited to time in service or financial obligations.

Interested parties must also be a United States citizen, a resident of New Jersey at least 18 years of age and possess a valid NJ drivers license and a high school diploma or equivalent. In addition, applicants must:

  • Pass a criminal background investigation check
  • Pass an oral interview
  • Pass a psychological examination
  • Pass a medical examination
  • Pass a drug screening test
  • Be of sound moral character

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Courtroom security
  • Transporting and guarding prisoners
  • Motor vehicle enforcement
  • Assisting full-time police officers on job assignments and tasks
  • Administrative duties

The position is for 20 and 28 hours per week with an hourly wage of $25 to $30 per hour.
