Memorial Day Ceremony In Holmdel: Monday Manual
Presentations of memorial wreaths will mark the May 30 remembrance ceremony at the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans' Memorial in Holmdel.

HOLMDEL, N.J.— Welcome to the Monday Manual, where we highlight upcoming events or reminders for this week in Holmdel:
Memorial Day Ceremony
The 2022 Memorial Day Ceremony will take place from 11 a.m. to noon on May 30 at the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans' Memorial, here, and will include presentations of wreaths by many organizations.

The ceremony is a remembrance of those who have lost their lives while serving in the United States Armed Forces.
The welcome will be presented by Major Gen. Clark Martin, USAF (Ret), chairman of the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans' Memorial Foundation. The ceremony will include a posting of the color guard, singing of National Anthem by Sandra Ward and an invocation by Chaplain Marc Crabtree of Rolling Thunder. The keynote address will be by fourth-grader Vincent Lorenzo of Barnegat, who recently paid tribute to veterans at a ceremony in March in his hometown. Scholarships will be presented by Gerry Appel to Bridget Lim and Matthew Thorn.

The New Jersey Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial honors all those who served our country and state during the Vietnam War, especially the 1,562 New Jersey men and 1 woman who did not return home. The Memorial is open 24 hours, 7 days a week.
The New Jersey Vietnam Veterans Memorial, which was constructed in 1995, is at 1 Memorial Lane, here. The Vietnam Era Museum & Educational Center is located adjacent to the memorial. Call 732-335-0033 for more information.
Road work planned off PNC Arts Center
HOLMDEL, N.J.— The NJ Turnpike Authority will be conducting road work on the PNC Arts Center access road off Crawford's Corner Road from Monday, May 23, through Wednesday, May 25, according to police.
Drivers are advised to plan an alternate route as the road may be closed to traffic.
