‘The Bigger The Better’: New Event Decor Store Opens In Monmouth County

The new 20,000 square-foot decor store offers a variety of luxury artificial florals, statement vases, planters and more.

HAZLET, NJ — A new wholesale event decor store has opened its doors in New Jersey, bringing artificial flowers, vases, candle holders and more to shoppers throughout Monmouth County.

Run by husband and wife team Michael and Yasya Abramov, Axil Decor officially opened its doors to customers in May at 1105 Route 36 in Hazlet.

With 20 years of experience in the event production and design industry, the Abramovs have brought their vision of elevated décor and floral solutions for the modern event market to the area.

The newly opened showroom and distribution center features a variety of luxury artificial florals, statement vases, real touch flowers, candle holders, planters, floral supplies, event décor and more.

"We welcome a wide range of customers for retail and wholesale," Yasya told Patch. "I believe this is a one-of-a-kind destination in the area. Many visitors are delighted when they enter our store, as they've never encountered such vibrant floral displays and decorative pieces in a store before."

While other craft and home stores like Marshalls and Michaels may offer customers vases or decor pieces, the Abramovs said what sets them apart is the vast collection of products they have, providing various styles for customers to choose from.

“We try to source things that you typically wouldn’t really see in most event wholesalers,” Yasya said. “We’re trying to create the ability to get a little bit more creative, and we have a lot of collections that help with that.”

While Axil Decor does carry more classic pieces like clear vases or vessels, they also provide rustic and seasonal products.

During the summer months, for example, the store has many pieces that fit more of a beach theme.

“We have vast collections, a lot of quantity,” Yasya said. “We might have like six different styles in one type of collection. It’s good for really large events, but we’re open to the retail customer as well.”

Since opening their doors in New Jersey, the Abramovs said they’ve been warmly welcomed by Hazlet residents and the greater Monmouth County community.

In addition to the kind reception from residents, the space where the store opened has also been able to hold a majority of Axil Decor’s items and provide a showroom to display them in.

“We really love everyone who comes in,” Yasya said. “The locals are so sweet and, in general, we were lucky enough to have such a large space where we can hold a large quantity of items.”

Going forward, the couple says they can’t wait to get to know the community more and help people bring their event visions to life – whether it’s someone growing their business or someone planning their very first event.

“People really love creating events now,” Yasya said. “Everyone wants to go big with events like proms, send-offs, weddings, etc. these days, and we’re loving it. We’re here for whatever people need, and when it comes to that event vision, we’re gonna try to help them. The bigger the better.”
