HAZLET, NJ — Police arrested a 26-year-old Old Bridge man who they say is behind "numerous" car break-ins and stolen cars in Hazlet, Holmdel, Aberdeen and Manalapan.

Oleksandr Stadnytsky, 26, from Old Bridge, was arrested Thursday by Hazlet PD and charged with multiple motor vehicle thefts, property theft and fraudulent use of stolen credit cards. Hazlet police say they have been looking for this suspect since November, when he stole an unlocked Hyundai Sonata from the Raritan Valley section of town.

Police say that in many of the instances, Stadnytsky entered cars that had been left unlocked, and with the key fobs inside. He is accused of stealing items from inside the cars, or in some cases, driving off in the car.
