Pedestrian Struck by Young Holmdel Driver in Old Manor
A 54-year old Hazlet woman was taken to the hospital with injuries.

A 19-year old Holmdel driver backing out of a driveway on in the Old Manor neighborhood struck a 54-year old Hazlet pedestrian on Saturday morning, police said.
The woman was transported to Bayshore Community Hospital by the Holmdel First Aid Squad. Holmdel Police issued a summons to John Mosca of Holmdel for careless driving.
On Saturday at 8:30 a.m., police say Mosca was pulling out of the driveway of 1 Woodland Place, at the intersection of Chestnut Ridge Road. The Hazlet woman was walking by with a dog when she was hit, according to their report. The street does not have sidewalks.

When Holmdel Patrolman Michael Michalski arrived he found the pedestrian on the ground, alert and conscious but complaining of pain, police said. Mosca remained at the scene.
