Perna Dance Center Yuletide Magic Kicks Off at Raritan H.S. in Hazlet

The Perna Dance Center "kicks" off the Holiday Season with FREE performance at Raritan High School and much much more!

Perna Dance Center’s annual holiday show, Yuletide Magic is no Nutcracker. Our show consists of over 200 dancers from our studio ranging in ages 3 – 18 who put on a fast paced and entertaining show at several different venues in the month of December. If you like holiday music, creative choreography and fabulous costumes and staging, then this is the holiday show for you!

The Yuletide Magic season opened on Saturday, December 13th at Raritan High School in Hazlet. This Free show is sponsored by the Hazlet Board of Recreation and has grown to a Hazlet Holiday Tradition for the past 27 years. It is a wonderful way to have the community come together to start the holiday season. Young and old come out to watch our show because there is something for everyone – holiday classics and new exciting holiday music and dance.

Then we take the show “on the road” - which is no easy task. This year we will be performing at Middletown High School North at their “North Pole”, the Monmouth Mall, Seabrook Village in Tinton Falls, Shadow Lake Village of Middletown, and We Care Adult Day Care in Middletown. Since each venue is different from the last, our dancers are trained to be ready for anything and ready to perform under any circumstance, indoors and outdoors.

This year, we are very excited to debut our “Holly Dolls” a live holiday window display at Old Navy in Holmdel, on Saturday, December 20th from 1:00 p.m. to 7 p.m. Our posed and costumed dancers can’t wait to bring the magic of the holidays to life – right here in our own community.

Students earn Community Service hours for their school transcripts and earn the satisfaction of knowing that they unselfishly give of their time and talent during such a hectic time of year. Each student, from Gingerbread Kids to Rockettes knows that they are part of something very special at a very special time of year. They also know that they give to others one of the greatest gifts of all - the gift of love - through dance.
