Perna Girls Go Purple and don't forget QUIET ON THE SET!

The Perna Dance Center would like to take this opportunity to express our Thanks and Congratulations to the Relay for Life of Hazlet for allowing us to be a part of the celebrations over the weekend at Raritan High School.  We are so proud to be part of such an involved community for the Fight against Cancer.  It was with great honor we were able to perform while the teams were walking around a field framed with beautiful luminaries.
While it was fantastic performing, it was also a blast having a team consisting of our older (aka Big Girls) Dancers "Perna Girls Go Purple".  In 1 short month, our Senior Dancers, Lauren Ambrus and Lisa Zeni, were able to put together a team of over 25 girls, organize 2 bake sales, fundraisers in the studio and inspire their teammates to individually raise money.  All the while, preparing for their own senior year obligations at Raritan High School and learning 3 extra dance routines for next weekend's "QUIET ON THE SET" performances.  The Perna Girls Go Purple would like to extend their thanks to Mrs Ambrus, "Miss Liz" Schneider and "Miss Beth" Zolnoski for being the chaperones for the Dancers.  We are so proud these Dancers represented The Perna Dancer Center and were able to raise over $1600!  Way to go Girls!

Next up for the PDC, is our well loved, ever popular 26th Annual Production, "QUIET ON THE SET" this Saturday June 7th, 1 pm and 7 pm and Sunday June 8th, 1 pm and 7 pm at Raritan High School.  It's been a very crazy year with celebration, sadness and accomplishments that we are more than excited and proud that we can provide our Family, Friends and Dance Community with our back lot themed production!  With our Tots who "Ought To Be In Pictures",   to our Graduates who know are shouting "Hooray for Hollywood" we promise to have the audience wanting to put on their "Yellow Polka Dot Bikini" to head "Back to the Beach" and yell "Surf's Up! with Annette and Frankie

Tickets are still available for purchase ranging from $18-$20 for pre purchase and $22 at the door.  Perna Dance Center Alumni are invited to take advantage of their complimentary ticket by contacting the studio this week to let us know which show you will be attending.  We're also offering any Prospective and interested Transfer Students TWO complimentary tickets to one of our four shows.  All you have to do is come into the Perna Dance Center located on the corner of Middle Rd and Laurel Ave to fill out an information card and we will provide you with a voucher card.  We ask that you present the voucher at the door of the performance you are attending and we will show you to your seats!

Of course, recital weekend normally marks the end of the dance year for the Perna Dance Center but not this year!  With just 1 day of rest, we will open our doors again on Tuesday June 10th, Wednesday June 11th and Thursday June 12th for our OPEN HOUSE/TRY IT WEEK.  For 3 nights, we will have 4 hours of FREE CLASSES for Prospective and Transferring Dancers to try the classes we offer at the Perna Dance Center.  Classes are open for ages 3 up to Adult.  The classes are also open to the current students (and their friends) of PDC!  Contact the studio at 732 787 0727 to register for any of the classes!

Thank you to everyone for a rollercoaster of a year and remember "QUIET ON THE SET"!
