Ask questions, become informed about JCP&L's Monster Power Lines Coming to Bayshore, June 28, 7 pm
Assemblywoman Amy Handlin will host a public meeting and has invited JCP&L to answer community questions on the proposed Monmouth Reliability Project.
RAGE (Residents Against Giant Electric), a Monmouth County non-profit citizen-driven organization is opposed to the proposed JCP&L Monmouth Reliability Project. More than 27 years ago, RAGE fought and defeated a similar proposal to run high-voltage power lines along the NJ Transit tracks through Aberdeen/Matawan, Hazlet, Holmdel, Middletown and Red Bank.

WHAT ARE THEY?
· 150 to 220 ft. 230-kilovolt line that emits EMF (electromagnetic fields), which cause cell mutations, and significant health concerns for children and the elderly as cited in numerous NIH and WHO studies.
· The monopoles will be within 500 ft. of three elementary schools, a day care center, alongside parks & sports fields, in Poricy Park Nature Conservancy and in the 350-year-old Middletown Historic District.
· Environmental impact, diminished property values, reduced school funding are the unintended consequences along with unsightly power lines visible to all along the major roadways, and pristine Highlands overlooking Sandy Hook & NYC.
