A weekend motor vehicle accident that displaced a fire hydrant in Holmdel has closed Schanck Road, authorities said.

HOLMDEL, NJ - A weekend motor vehicle accident that displaced a fire hydrant in Holmdel has closed Schanck Road, authorities said.
Due to the accident, which occurred around 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Route 34 northbound is closed at Schanck Road.
"There will also be low to no water pressure in the immediate area," Holmdel police said. "The water company is on location and should have the problem rectified shortly. Please avoid the area."

As of 10:58 a.m., the New Jersey Department of Transportation’s 511NJ website reported flooding on NJ 34 northbound south of Schank Road in Holmdel.
