Road Improvements Are On Track In Hazlet

Hazlet Township is providing a schedule of when to expect both concrete work and final paving to be completed.

HAZLET, NJ — The Hazlet Township Committee has announced that the 2022 road upgrade program should be substantially completed by Sept. 23. The township's engineering firm recently informed the township of estimated road work completion dates. Final restoration should be done by Oct. 28, depending on weather, according to the township website.

The following 13 roads have been completed to date:

  • Hemlock Drive
  • Monmouth Drive
  • Magnolia Avenue
  • Lake Avenue
  • Elm Avenue
  • Birch Avenue
  • Buttonwood Place
  • Dale Court
  • Spruce Street
  • Fir Place
  • Tara Lin Drive
  • Rochelle Drive
  • Stone Road

The streets below were to have final paving last week:

  • Appleton Drive – Concrete work is complete.
  • Cove Road – Concrete work is complete.
  • Hilltop Place – Concrete work is complete.
  • Monterey Drive – Concrete work complete.

These streets will have final paving during the week of Sept. 9:

  • Larsen Lane – Concrete work is complete.
  • Helfrich Lane – Concrete work is complete.
  • Leocadia Court – Concrete work is complete.
  • Mountain Avenue – Concrete work week to have ended by Aug. 19.

These streets are being completed with final paving planned for Sept. 16:

  • Hemingway Drive – Concrete work to have ended by Aug. 19.
  • Ivy Place – Concrete work week ending Aug. 26.
  • Cedar Avenue – Concrete work week ending Aug. 26.
  • Roland Place – Concrete work week ending Sept. 2.

And:

  • Pacific Terrace will have concrete work week ending Sept. 2, with final paving ending by Sept. 23.
