Helen, who started in 82 varsity soccer games, was the goalkeeper for four years at Holmdel. Her career record is 60-18-4. She holds many school records including 14 single-season shutouts, 27 career shutouts, and 603 career saves. In state tournament play during her senior year, she gave up only 2 goals in six games chalking up shutouts in both the semi-final and final games. She was named to the New Jersey All-Group 2 First Team by nj.com and the Class A-Central All-Division Team by the Asbury Park Press.

Holmdel High School girls varsity soccer coach, Jennifer Conroy, says, “Helen has trained most of her life to be a goalkeeper, a position most players don’t want to even attempt. Helen and the Holmdel girl’s soccer program have improved every year. l have no doubt, Helen will help the West Point’s soccer program succeed in the next four years much like she has done for Holmdel. It was an honor to coach such a hard working, focused young lady. “
Justin Ruiz (photo 2):
Holmdel High School senior, Justin Ruiz, has signed his National Letter of Intent to attend the Florida Institute of Technology.
Joining Justin in the picture is his mom and back row L-R Head Coach Sal Guastella and Athletic Director Randy Westrol.
Justin played lacrosse for four years at Holmdel with three of those years on the varsity team. During the 2014 season, he set a school record for single-season saves with 257. His save percentage during the same year was .719 making him first in New Jersey and ninth in the nation. He was named to the All-Shore first lacrosse team during his junior year by the Asbury Park Press.
Holmdel High School varsity lacrosse coach, Salvatore Guastella, praised Ruiz stating, “Justin did not win the starting goaltending spot until his junior year. His work ethic, positive attitude, and drive to be great are second to none. We are looking forward to him having another great season and believe he will emerge as an outstanding leader.”
Mia Ehling (photo 3):
Holmdel High School senior, Mia Ehling, has signed her National Letter of Intent to attend St. Francis (NY) and continue her Basketball career. Joining her in the picture are Athletic Director Randy Westrol, her parents and Head Basketball coach Don Hampton.
Mia has been a 3 year starter at the varsity level and has help Holmdel win the Bayshore Holiday Tournament the last two years where she has won the MVP honors both years. Mia helped the Hornets reach the Group II Sectional Finals last year. She has been a strong scorer during her career and scored her 1,000 point against St. John Vianney on January 29, 2015. Mia has helped our younger players become better around athletes.
Morgan Graziano (photo 4):
Holmdel High School senior, Morgan Graziano, has signed her National Letter of Intent to attend Manhattan College and will continue her basketball career for the Jaspers. Joining her in the picture (front row) are her parents. In the back row (L-R) Athletic Director Randy Westrol and Head Basketball Coach Don Hampton.
Morgan has been a four year varsity letter winner and a 3 year starter. She has help the Hornets get to Shore Conference and State tournament each of her four years. She has been a valuable person in the basketball program the last four years and was the team captain her senior year. Last season Morgan led the Hornets to the Group II Sectional finals where they played TOC finalist Manasquan HS.

Holmdel High School senior, Marin Warner, has signed her National Letter of Intent to attend the University of Pennsylvania and continue her running career. Marin’s outstanding career in cross country and track has included many accomplishments – she won both the Monmouth County Girls Cross Country Championship and the Shore Conference Girls Cross Country Championship in the Fall of 2013 & 2014. On the state level, she won the Central Jersey Group 2 girls cross country champion also in 2013 & 2014 and the New Jersey State overall Group 2 champion in 2014. She was selected 1st team All-State and Shore Conference Runner of the Year. She also has contributed at the same high level in Winter Track and Spring Track. She holds three Holmdel High School cross country records: Holmdel Park (18:30), Thompson Park (18:19), and Ocean County Park (17:28).
During her Winter Track seasons she has placed 1st in the 1600 during the Monmouth County Meet and broke the meet record. She was the Central Jersey Group II Champion in the 800 & 1600 and has school records in both of those events.
During her Spring Track seasons she was once again the Group II Sectional State Champion in the 800 & 1600 (3 years in a row) and also won the Group II Sectional State Champion in the 3200. Marin also has the school record in the 3200. She still has the Winter and Spring seasons of her senior year to add to her wonderful accomplishments so far.
She has been outstanding over her last four years as a runner and a student in the classroom. Marin continued to get better each year of her high school career due to her hard work and commitment to her sport.
