Is Severance S3 Filming At Bell Works? Here's What We Know

HOLMDEL, NJ — Production for the latest season of the hit Apple TV show "Severance" is underway, and filming may be taking place right here in Monmouth County, according to a report.

Debuting in 2022, "Severance" follows Mark (Adam Scott of “Parks & Recreation”) as he leads a team of office workers at Lumon Industries whose memories have been surgically divided (or “severed”) between their work and personal lives.

As the show goes on, the characters go on a journey to discover the truth about their jobs and themselves, according to the series synopsis on Apple TV.

Currently, there are two seasons of "Severance" out, but Apple announced the start of season three production toward the end of July.

In New Jersey, the show is most well-known for its presence at Bell Works, which serves as the home of Lumon Industries in the series.

Throughout the show, characters can be seen driving through the Bell Works parking lot, walking up the steps, and even walking around the inside of the building, before taking an elevator down to the mysterious "severed" floor.

Though there hasn't been an official announcement that filming is currently taking place at Bell Works, the Asbury Park Press reported that signs at the metroburb are directing drivers toward a base camp and set for the production "Buffalo."

According to the report, "Buffalo" is the title being used for production of the third season.

In a video posted to TikTok, camera operators can be seen on one of the main floors of Bell Works, alongside other members of the set.

The Asbury Park Press also reported actors filming what appeared to be a chase scene and people wearing mock ID badges for Lumon Industries.

In an email to Patch, a Bell Works spokesperson declined to comment on whether filming was taking place, though a pop-up message on the Bell Works website notes that Center Atrium businesses, Bar Bella and The Turf are closed through Friday, with limited public access to the Center Atrium.

"We're making a few temporary adjustments around Bell Works over the coming weeks," the notice reads. "...Bell Works is still open, still buzzing, and ready to welcome you."

"Thanks for rolling with us as we make these temporary adjustments — and for helping us keep the Metroburb moving."

The NJ Motion Picture & Television Commission did not immediately return a request for comment.
