Three Rescued From Boat In Sandy Hook Bay Friday Morning
Breaking: Three people were rescued by the U.S. Coast Guard Friday after they became stranded on a boat in the middle of Sandy Hook Bay.

ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ — Three people had to be rescued by the U.S. Coast Guard after they became stranded on a boat in the middle of cold, blustery Sandy Hook Bay Friday morning.
The U.S. Coast Guard, stationed at Sandy Hook, received a call at about 9:00 a.m. Friday, requesting help for three individuals who were experiencing engine problems and did not have a working marine radio aboard their 18-foot-boat. It's not only frigid out; there are 25-knot winds and three to five-foot seas; a small-craft advisory had previously been issued.
Operators at a commercial salvage and towing company first contacted the Coast Guard and said they were unable to go out and help the boat because of the dangerous weather conditions.
