Trooper Who Hit Lincroft Woman Admits He'd Been Drinking
The state trooper said he'd had "9 beers" before the Oct. 26 car accident.

Monmouth County, NJ - A New Jersey state trooper who rear-ended a Lincroft woman admitted in court Tuesday he’d been drinking when the Oct. 26 accident occurred.
Sgt. First Class Michael Roadside told the judge he had “approximately nine beers” before the accident, reports NJ.com. While driving his marked police cruiser, he rear-ended Lincroft resident Kimberly Wilson at about 2 p.m. in the Monmouth service area off the Parkway. Wilson said she immediately called 911 because Roadside’s speech was slurred, he was having trouble walking and his uniform was on inside out.
He also offered her $1,000 not to report the accident, she said. She refused.
