Two Stolen Cars Found Being Driven In Holmdel, Police Say
Police recovered two allegedly stolen vehicles being driven in Holmdel in separate incidents Saturday. Middletown residents were arrested.

HOLMDEL, NJ — It was a busy weekend in Holmdel Township! Local police say they recovered not one, but two allegedly stolen vehicles being driven in Holmdel in two separate incidents.
One of the cars was stolen out of Toms River, and the other was reported stolen out of Hazlet.
In the first incident, at 2:45 a.m. Saturday, March 17, Patrolman Michael Nolan stopped a 2014 Nissan for failure to obey a stop sign. The vehicle was found to have been reported stolen in Toms River and was occupied by three men. All three were arrested, and are named below with their charges.

Later that same Saturday afternoon, at approximately 12:45 p.m., Patrolman Michael Michalski was monitoring traffic in the area of Palmer Avenue. A 1995 Chevy Blazer passed his location and the officer recognized it as a vehicle that had been recently reported stolen in Hazlet Township.
Ptl. Michalski stopped the vehicle and charged the driver with receiving stolen property and possession of heroin. The driver was identified as Anthony Hoff, 24, of Keansburg. He was turned over to Hazlet police for the charge of auto theft. Two passengers in the vehicle were also arrested: James Baker, 53, of Middletown and Brianne Terracciano, 22, of Keansburg was arrested on an active warrant from the Holmdel Municipal Court.

Baker was charged with unlawful taking of a means of conveyance/joyriding, possession of heroin, tampering with evidence and failure to turn over a controlled dangerous substance to police. Terracciano was charged with unlawful taking of a means of conveyance/joyriding, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic syringe. Both were lodged at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution.
At approximately 4:00 p.m. Hazlet police were at Bayshore Medical Center with Hoff when they said Hoff became violent, threatened hospital staff and began to fight with hospital security.
Hoff assaulted a hospital security officer by spitting in his face and assaulted a Hazlet police officer by spitting on his head, police said. He was additionally charged with aggravated assault.
In the earlier incident Saturday, the following three men were found in the stolen Toms River car, police said, and charged as follows:
Jahad Davis, 27, of Farmingdale was charged with receiving stolen property and unlawful taking of means of conveyance/joyriding.
Alexander Denson, 24, of Long Branch, was charged with receiving stolen property, unlawful taking of means of conveyance and several motor vehicle violations.
Tariek Gross, 23, from Middletown was charged with receiving stolen property and unlawful taking of means of conveyance/joyriding.
Gross was processed and released at Holmdel police headquarters pending a court appearance. The other two subjects were taken to Monmouth County Correctional Institution.
