Update On Escape Room Coming To Holmdel's Bell Works

What's the latest on the escape room now scheduled to open this fall on the ground floor of Bell Works?

(Escapology)

HOLMDEL, NJ — What's the latest with the escape room that was supposed to open this summer at Bell Works in Holmdel?

The company, called Escapology, already runs an escape room in Garwood. They are still waiting on the town of Homdel to approve construction permits, and they were hoping to get those permits approved the week of July 7 (last week). Once permits are approved, construction will start right away and they expect to open two months later, Escapology tells Patch.

The escape room will take up a 3,274-square-foot space on the ground floor of Bell Works. And it's not just one room — there will actually be six. The Bell Works space will consist of six different rooms each with their own theme. Two of those rooms will be unique to the Holmdel location and different than what's in Garwood.

The cost of admission will be the same as their Gardwood facility: $29.99 per person.

Their hours are currently planned for 12 noon to 10 p.m. daily, with the exception being weekends when it's Fridays noon - midnight, Saturday 11 a.m. - midnight and Sunday 11 a.m. - 9 p.m.

Escapology Holmdel will offer birthday party packages (with catering), catered team building, catered adult birthdays, VIP events and breakfast events. Other than Gardwood, this will be the second location in New Jersey for Escapology. The company says they are the largest escape room company in the world, with more than 60 locations internationally.

The escape rooms challenge up to eight players to work together to find clues, solve puzzles and pick locks that will free them from the game room.
