Vehicle Stolen From Holmdel Driveway Thursday Morning: Cops
Holmdel police are investigating a reported car theft at a Blue Hills Drive residence this week.
HOLMDEL, NJ - Holmdel police are investigating a reported car theft at a Blue Hills Drive residence this week, the department said in a statement.
The theft occurred Thursday at 8:43 a.m. while the resident was warming up the vehicle before driving. The resident observed a male subject enter and take the vehicle from the driveway.
A small SUV - possibly an Audi, according to police - that had several other subjects inside was also spotted in the area.

There is no description of the subject, although police say the resident detailed he was “wearing a hat or net on his head.”
“Holmdel Police would like to remind all residents to please lock their vehicles and remove the key fobs from them,” the department wrote.

Neighboring Hazlet Township saw its police department also issued a warning to its residents on Thursday following the report:
“Several Bayshore towns took reports of stolen or attempted stolen cars today,” the department said in an alert. “Reminder: Please Lock Your Doors and Take Your Keys.”
