Volunteers Needed For Domestic Violence Response Team In Hazlet
180 Turning Lives Around is a non-profit that provides survivors of domestic and sexual violence with free and confidential resources.
HAZLET, NJ — 180’s Domestic Violence Response Team is in need of volunteers to join their mission and help victims of domestic violence find the courage and strength to turn their lives around.
Volunteer Advocates for 180 are community members who collaborate with law enforcement to provide victims of domestic violence with confidential support, information and resources at police headquarters.
Advocates also talk to victims about safety planning and their legal rights when it comes to obtaining a temporary restraining order. The DVRT volunteers' identities are kept anonymous, and prior knowledge of domestic violence is not required.
