Weeklong Road Work To Close Beers Street At Train Tracks
NJ Transit will be replacing the double track at the Beers Street crossing and the road will be closed for a week, police said.
HAZLET, N.J.— Beers Street will be closed for construction at the NJ Transit track crossing starting 10 a.m. this Thursday, June 23, to 7 a.m. Thursday, June 30, township police have advised.

The weekday work will be completed between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the weekend work will be completed between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The paving day work will be done between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, if weather permits, a news release says.

Drivers are urged to follow posted detours. Vehicles will not be able to cross over the tracks, police emphasized.
There is ample signage for the posted detours to assist drivers in reaching their destinations, police said.

"If there are any delays in this construction we will do our best to keep residents posted with updated information as soon as it is available," police said in a news release.
