Winning Lottery Ticket Sold at Keansburg Pharmacy
"It feels awesome," says Keansburg Pharmacy owner Howard Shulman. NJ Lottery called the store an hour ago, and 17 customers have called, too

Keansburg, NJ - No, it wasn’t the big prize, but Keansburg Pharmacy, at 199 Main Street in Keansburg, sold a winning $50,000 lottery ticket, the state announced within the past hour on Thursday.
“It feels great; it really feels awesome,” store owner Howard Shulman said to Patch. The New Jersey Lottery called his store about an hour ago, he said, and informed him that he sold a winner. (In total, 48 stores in the state, and two more in Monmouth County, sold winning tickets. A complete list is here.)
The phone’s been ringing off the hook at the pharmacy, another store employee said, with about 17 people calling in the past hour letting Keansburg Pharmacy know the good news.

Shulman said the winner has not revealed himself or herself yet. The state did not let him know what date the ticket was purchased, he said.
“I hope it’s someone we know and they come in and let us know,” said Shulman. “But seriously, whoever it is, good for them, great for them.”

Keansburg Pharmacy has been in business for 31 years, and is located right in the heart of Keansburg. The store has sold a winning ticket in the past, Shulman said, but he could not recall exactly when or for how much.
The store is one of three that sold winning $50,000 tickets in Monmouth County: Penny Pantry Food Store, at 4345 Route 9 North, Pond Road Shopping Center, in Freehold sold a winner as did a Welsh Farms at 130 Route 33 West in Manalapan.
