Hopatcong Borough Election 2026

Primary Election Day

This post was contributed by a community member.

I would like to take this opportunity to discuss two Hopatcong Borough Councilwomen running for re-election this year: Jennifer Johnson and Rachel Rodriguez. Over the last 2 1/2 years, both Jennifer and Rachel have worked tirelessly to remain true to their campaign promise of transparency. You would be hard pressed to find other local officials who are as responsive and informative as these ladies. They are the only Hopatcong Borough candidates who have laid out detailed and concrete ideas/plans to achieve their stated goals. They do not rely on “talking points” alone to court voters. As citizens themselves (along with their families), they have a vested interest in the success of Hopatcong Borough. They are always available to answer questions, receive compliments and criticism, as well as opinions and ideas from fellow citizens. In my humble opinion, Jennifer Johnson and Rachel Rodriguez have earned the confidence of voters for another term.
