SUSSEX COUNTY, NJ — A drug raid in Sussex County has resulted in the arrest of two New Jersey men and the seizure of narcotics, police said.
On May 28, the Newton Police Department, in coordination with the Sussex County Guns, Gangs, and Narcotics Task Force, executed a search warrant at a home on Spring Street in Newton.
The squad found more than 13 grams of crack cocaine, police said.
The raid resulted in the arrest of Timothy McClain, 44, of Newton, and Andre “Red” Upshaw, 40, of Paterson.
Police said the raid comes after months of investigation by Sussex County detectives.
Both Upshaw and McClain were charged with manufacturing, distributing, or dispensing a controlled dangerous substance (CDS). McClain faces an additional charge of possession of a CDS.
The pair was taken to the Morris County Correctional Facility to await court proceedings.
