HOPATCONG, NJ — As high temperatures and humidity continue, the Hopatcong Police Department is reminding residents to take precautions to stay safe during the heat wave.
Officials encourage everyone to stay cool, stay hydrated, and check on family members, neighbors, and others who may be more vulnerable to extreme heat.

Residents should also be aware of the signs of heat-related illness, including dizziness, nausea, headache, confusion, and excessive sweating or lack of sweating. If someone is showing signs of heat stroke, call 911 immediately.
The department encourages everyone to look out for one another and take extra precautions until the extreme heat subsides.
