HOPATCONG, NJ — Summer vacation is nearly over for Hopatcong students, with the first bell of the school year set to ring Monday.
Hopatcong High School, Hopatcong Middle School, Tulsa Trail Elementary School and Durban Avenue School will welcome students after two teacher in-service days.
According to the district calendar, families should expect a short first week. Students will have an early dismissal Friday, followed by a long weekend, with schools closed the next Monday for Labor Day.
Families can also mark their calendars: Tulsa Trail hosts Back-to-School Night on Thursday, Durban Avenue on Tuesday, and Hopatcong Middle School on Wednesday for grades 4 and 5, followed Thursday by grades 6 and 7 and Hopatcong High School.
Families can check school-specific events through the district's online calendar. They may also want to double-check transportation arrangements, schedules and opening-day instructions before students leave home.
