Parents are encouraged to check the district calendar and website or call the main office for details on this closure and other upcoming school dates.

โข Sussex County highlights federal funding for water projects, school cafeteria (advertisernewssouth.com subscription) โ Hopatcong is receiving $1 million in federal funding to kick-start replacement of lead service lines, a project local officials say will modernize infrastructure and protect drinking water. Sussex County leaders also celebrated a new cafeteria at the Sussex County Charter School for Technology and additional water system upgrades in Sparta, highlighting broader regional investment in public health and education.

โข New Jersey Highlands Coalition honors environmental advocates, announces 2026 grant recipients (wrnjradio.com) โ A Hopatcong environmental advocate, Donna Macalle-Holly, was honored for 13 years of work with the Lake Hopatcong Foundation, helping residents and officials understand the lake's importance to local quality of life and the economy. At its annual meeting, the New Jersey Highlands Coalition also recognized other regional leaders and announced 2026 grants for conservation, historic preservation, and responsible development projects across the Highlands.
