HOPATCONG, NJ — The Hudson Farm Charity Hike brought neighbors, volunteers and local organizations together for a day of community spirit.
The Hopatcong Fire Department celebrated the event's success, sharing that its members helped cook lunch for participants.
The department called the hike "one of our favorite community events of the year."
The Lake Hopatcong Foundation organized the Oct. 17 event, while Hudson Farm hosted and sponsored it.
As Patch previously reported, the charity hike invited residents to enjoy the outdoors while supporting local organizations.
Firefighters thanked everyone who participated and helped make the day successful.
"Thank you to everyone who came out to hike, support our local organizations, and help make the day such a success," the department said.
"It's the participation and generosity of our community that make events like this so special."
