HOPATCONG, NJ — The results are in for Hopatcong's 2026 Halloween House Decoration Contest, with three homes taking top honors.
The Hopatcong Recreation Department announced the winners in a Facebook post Friday.
The Most Original award went to 14 Bergen Trail, while 2 Rollins Trail won Funniest and 35 Leo Avenue earned Scariest.
The Hopatcong Recreation Department also recognized 12 runners-up in the Halloween House Decoration Contest.
Among them were homes at 4 Division Lane, 6 Carteret Road, 336 Dupont Avenue and 566 Brooklyn Mountain Road.
Homes at 1 Bergen Trail, 10 Atno Avenue, 305 Idalroy Trail and 67 Leo Avenue also received recognition.
The remaining runners-up were located at 32 Eugene Road, 103 Papakating Road, 5 Bernard Road and 222 Dupont Avenue.
The department's post features photographs of the winning displays, including a mention of a tunnel at the Most Original home.
