HOPEWELL, NJ — Families in Hopewell and Pennington have several school schedule changes to keep in mind this month, including two consecutive days off later this week.
According to the Hopewell Valley Regional School District's official calendar, schools will be closed Thursday, Nov. 5, for the New Jersey Education Association (NJEA) Convention.
Schools will also be closed Friday, Nov. 6, in observance of Veterans Day.
The closures follow three days of parent conferences and early dismissals, scheduled from Monday, Nov. 2, through Wednesday, Nov. 4.
Students will return to their regular school schedule following the two-day closure, with additional changes scheduled later in the month.
The next early dismissal is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 25, ahead of Thanksgiving.
Schools will then be closed Thursday, Nov. 26, for Thanksgiving Day and Friday, Nov. 27, for the day after Thanksgiving.

Families looking ahead to December will find another early dismissal scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 23, followed by winter break beginning Thursday, Dec. 24.
