Dark Side Of The Sourlands Presentation March 15 At Pennington Public Library

Historian Jim Davidson will share what life on the mountain was like in earlier days March 15 at 3 p.m. at the Pennington Public Library.

Posted Feb. 15, 2020

Grisly murders, missing persons, and bootlegging are only some of the wild tales of the Sourland Mountains. Long known as a hideaway from the law and isolated from the towns nearby, many people in the Sourland Mountains subsisted by stealing from their neighbors in the adjoining valleys or even from their extended families. Hear the tales and even some cool ghost stories of the mountain when East Amwell Historian Jim Davidson gives a lively talk on what life on the mountain was like in earlier days March 15 at 3 p.m. at the Pennington Public Library.
