Health Officials Say There Has Been No Reported Cases Of Cyclosporiasis In Hopewell

HOPEWELL, NJ — Hopewell Township has notified residents that no cases of cyclosporiasis have been reported as of late last week.

The New Jersey Department of Health continues to monitor the illness, which is commonly linked to contaminated fresh produce.

In addition, there has been no unusual rise in infections across the state this year.

Health officials are reminding residents to wash fruits and vegetables thoroughly before eating them. Cyclosporiasis is a gastrointestinal illness that is generally not life-threatening but can cause dehydration and, in some cases, require medical treatment.
