2,200 Customers Without Power In Howell, Brick: Police

Breaking: Jersey Central Power & Light crews are on the scene, according to the power company.

HOWELL, NJ — About 2,200 customers are without power Wednesday evening in the Ramtown section of Howell and in northwestern Brick Township, police said.

Howell Township police posted a message on Facebook about the outage, saying JCP&L officials had told them 2,200 customers are affected.

The cause of the outage was not immediately known, but the First Energy outage map said crews were on scene and estimated power would be restored about 10 p.m.

"Please do not call the police department for information unless you have an actual emergency," Howell police said.
