HOWELL, NJ — Two people escaped with minor injuries Saturday when the car they were in hit a guardrail and overturned into the Tarkiln Brook on Route 547 in Howell, police said. The crash happened around 4 p.m. Saturday and forced the closure of Route 547 while the car was removed from the brook, which flows under Route 547 just north of Oak Glen Road.
