I've just started working with the African Library Project, an organization that connects volunteers in the USA with children's libraries in Africa. I was asked to collect 1,000 paperback children's books and $500 to ship them to Lesotho- by May 15 (Ahhhhh!!) Call me crazy, but I think my hometown of Howell is generous enough to fill a children's library for impoverished African children. Once again, I'm looking for paperback children's books - used or new (and/or monetary donations for shipping). While you're busy spring cleaning, maybe you could think of me and the schoolchildren in Lesotho? I truly appreciate your help so much. Additionally, if you know of any stores/donors/churches/websites that could help me reach my goal - please contact me!
